Ray started performing when he was just nine and in the following 20+ years he worked with and learnt from the best, including many years spent performing and recording with the Foreday Riders (commonly referred to as the ‘University of the Blues’ in Australia).
Now an established artist in his own right, he is widely respected on the International Blues scene as an exhilarating guitarist, an enthralling singer-songwriter and a consummate performer. With 15 albums to his name he has, unsurprisingly, been recognized with multiple Australian Blues awards, winning his first, “New Male Artist”, back in 1997 and has since gone on to win Best Artist, Best Album, Best Guitarist & Best Vocalist and was recently inducted in to the Australia Blues Hall of Fame. Tonight, in a rare appearance in the UK (and we think his first appearance ever in London) he will be bringing his unique and powerful Blues/Americana set to the Club with his trio featuring old friend of the Club, the great Enrico “Mick” Morena-drums. If you’re in to Blues you will definitely want to catch this!
